2009 Boiler Replacement in basement of 1914 building         Deferred Maintenance & Energy Efficiency Improvement Grant Replaces 1991 Boilers After years of limping along with yearly repairs, the 1991 Raypak tube boilers in the basement of the older section of Gallatin Gateway School were replaced in November 2009. These two hot-water heat, natural-gas fired boilers were removed and replaced using $16,800 in funding from the Deferred Maintenance & Energy Efficiency Improvement Grant. Based on the facility needs outlined in the Quick Start Energy Audit, the Gallatin Gateway School Board requested bids for removal and replacement of the old boilers in October 2009.  Four bids were received.  Western Plumbing, Kevin Kent, was awarded the contract for installation of two new Burnham cast-iron, hot-water boilers and the lining of the chimney with duct work and cap.
