We have a Learning Lab that has 4 networked IBM computers and 2 color inkjet printers, and a Lunch Room computer that greatly increases the efficiency of our school lunch program.
For Technology Education we have a modern Windows XP Computer Lab, consisting of 17 2 Ghz Celeron computer systems and 4 older Pentium systems that support the majority of our new Lego Robotics education curriculum. Students build and program their own Lego robots while learning various organization, planning and mathematics skills. For more information on the Technology Program please see Mr. Coon's page under Faculty and Staff on this site.
Students also have access to 4 IBM networked computers in the school library, complete with a donated laser printer.
For students to use the Internet at Gallatin Gateway School a Childrens Internet Protection Form must be completed and returned to their teacher (available on the Forms page). We currently use a SonicWALL internet content filter (frequenly updated) to block access to inappropriate web sites.
Each school year, the Gallatin Gateway Technology Committee seeks members to plan, develop, and implement the schools technology plan. The committee can always use your help and welcomes your attendance at meetings. Please call the school if you would like more information.
