Athletic Handbooks
Athletes interested in participating in sports at Gallatin Gateway School can pick up the Gallatin Gateway School Athletic Handbook at the school office.
Participation Fees: Participation fees are: $25 for the first sport and each addtional sport and/or family member is $10. Please make all checks paybable to BOOSTERS. If you have any questiosn regarding participation fees please contact BOOSTER Club President, Zoe Brown at 763-4602.
Sports Physicals
Athletes may not participate in pre-season physical conditioning, practice, or games without a current sports physical.
Sports physicals can be completed through your family physician or by appointment with our school nurse Dr. Prescott.
Parent Meeting
Wrestling: Coach Coon will host an informational parent meeting on Wednesday, January 27 at 5:30pm for all boys and girls in grades kindergarten – 8th who are interested in wrestling.

The nurse will be available for student visits for illness and sports physicals on Friday, January 29; Friday,February 5; Friday, February 12; Friday, February 19; and Friday, February 26.

| Spring Break- School Closed |
|
Gallatin Gateway School will be closed during Spring Break- March 15-19. The District office will also be closed during this time. If you need assistance please leave a message at 763-4415 ext. 10. We hope everyone has a fun and safe Spring Break! |

Ski Day at Big Sky, Wednesday,
February 3, 2010, Grades 4-8,
No bus routes will run on
Wednesday, Feb.3th - buses will be going to Big Sky
Grades 4 – 8 will leave at
7:15 am and return at 5:15
All students can bring own
ski equipment (load in a pickup)
No cost for students
renting skis – cost fully covered by donation

Adults can participate for a $15 No Adult Chaperones or Volunteers are needed for the 2010 Ski Day Trip.
Student cost is $15.00 due by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3st-

Sack lunches can be ordered
through school lunch for Wednesday- Please order by Friday, January 29!
Grades 4-8 will need to be at
the school at 7:10 am
Grades 5-8 can choose ski
or snowboard
Grade 4- can only ski, no
snowboarding
Grades K-3 – will have a regular school day from 8:10-3:10 on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. NO BUSES will run in the morning or afternoon on Wednesday, February 3, 2010.
Ski Day Reminders
ALL student clothing and
equipment must be labeled. (with marker or masking
tape, etc) The school is not responsible for items left by students in the ski
lodge or on the ski hill.
Students are responsible to
load all their own personal equipment at the end of the day.
Teachers will not be responsible for equipment left at the ski hill, but
teachers will give numerous reminders to students to load their equipment.

| PUBLIC RELEASE: FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE MEALS PROGRAM |
|
Gallatin Gateway School announces the 2009-2010 policy for Free and Reduced-Price Meals and/or Free Milk for students whose schools participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture
National School Lunch Program, and School Breakfast Program. The complete
policy is on file in the office and may be reviewed by any interested party.
Application forms will be sent
to each home with a letter to parents or guardians. To apply for free or
reduced-price meals and/or free milk, households must complete the entire application
and return it to the school office. If a household is eligible for food stamps the
household will receive a Direct Certification letter from the Montana Department
of Public Health and Human Services in the mail which can be used in place of the school meals application.
Applications may be submitted at any time during the year. Households will be notified of eligibility
determination. At any time during the school year, program officials may verify
an application. Households dissatisfied with the ruling of the officials have

End of 2nd Quarter is Friday, January 22, 2010. Report cards will be sent home on Friday, January 29, 2010.
Early Release Day: Friday, January 22 at 12:15pm.
Sportsman's Banquet & Auction Informational Meeting for all 5th,6th, 7th, & 8th grade parents and students on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria.

The Sportsman's Banquet and Auction is a fundraising event which assists in funding educational trips and activities for students.
